Abstract

The knowledge of the territory, essential in the development of Smart Cities, is built from the Geotechnologies. This article conducted a bibliometric analysis of the theme, in a global and Latin American context, with the objective of identifying the recent and relevant scientific production between 2018 and 2022. Of the 507 documents retrieved, 33 referred to applications in Latin America, from which a systematic review was conducted seeking to understand the correlation between the use of Geotechnologies and Smart Cities. Publications ranging from the application of existing tools to the introduction of specific GIS softwares were highlighted, varying the methodologies of data collection and manipulation.
