"Búsqueda" is an indexed journal of scientific research in the area of Social Sciences, which arises in order to contribute to social transformation and the promotion of a culture of coexistence and social welfare. The journal is directed to researchers and publishes original articles and unpublished research results, in English, Portuguese and Spanish, for the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the international field in areas related to human and social development. This allows a better solution to the different problems that arise in contexts of social vulnerability.

In open access, "Búsqueda" is a semiannual journal of continuous publication, distributed in two editions per year in the periods from January to June and from July to December. The number of articles corresponds to the editorial flow of the journal, which uses the external review system by expert peers, anonymously, using the "double-blind" method (double-blind peer review), that comply with the stipulations of the code of ethics COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), to which the journal is attached. The editorial and scientific team has the ethical and responsibility commitment in the application of the policy and management of the journal. It uses plagiarism detection tools and the average rejection rate for 2019 was 50%.

The journal is in permanent call with the edition of issues with monographic and miscellaneous themes. Interested parties can send their manuscripts through the OJS platform.
